Police are investigating the death of a 3-year-old boy who suffered a head injury inside a Brooklyn apartment on Sunday night.

According to authorities, officers from the 67th Precinct raced to 770 New York Ave. in Flatbush, across the street from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, at around 9:44 p.m. after receiving a 911 call.

Upon arriving at the scene, the cops discovered a three-year-old child unconscious and unresponsive. At the time, police said the youngster had been in the care of a family friend.

EMS rushed the tot to nearby Kings County Hospital, where the boy was pronounced dead. Police withheld the boy’s identity, pending family notification.
